Riffels Gourmet Flavored Coffee

Our Beans

In making our flavored coffees we use only high grown, mild Arabica beans. We receive our beans in their raw state (green). We flame roast the beans, then flavor them. Since we roast the beans ourselves, we can light roast or dark roast; we can grind the coffee or sell it as whole bean. We also can get and have straight coffees. Our beans are constantly sampled to ensure the flavor is consistent. A straight coffee is a coffee that comes from one country, such as Kona from Hawaii, or Malawi from Africa. We handle many coffees at different times since we have to bring in different coffees to keep our coffee tasting the same. Our coffee is a blend of different Arabica beans from different countries.

Because we are looking for a specific taste, the countries we get our beans from will change. All coffee companies use a blend (to keep their own distinct taste) unless it says 100%. Our straight coffees are 100% and our flavored coffees are 100% pure coffee. We do not use any fillers, additives (other than flavoring), or instant coffees in our coffee.

In putting Riffel's Flavored Coffee together, we found many other coffee companies’ flavor is too strong, or that they have ground the coffee too fine, and bitterness comes out. Some just taste peculiar, because they are trying to use cheap coffee beans, and then mask the beans with flavoring. To get good flavored coffee, you have to use quality high grown mild Arabicas, and good quality flavorings. The difference is immense. Try a small portion of grocery store flavored coffee then try Riffel's. You be the judge. Retail prices for can range from $5.00 per pound (for flavored coffee) to $14.00 per pound. That is a wide spread for the same type product. However, to sell coffee at $5.00 per pound you have to use cheap beans. If you want a good steak, you don't go to a fast food place, you to to a steak house. Like most items - you pay for what you get.

It does not matter which size of packaged coffee you buy from us - all of our coffees have to be brewed.

There are a lot of companies that sell coffee, but Riffel's is the best. They have the best tasting coffee and the best service. I really appreciate their attention to the little things that keep my customers happy. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a coffee provider.
